CrossFit Games athlete Brandon Pastorek talks about his training, diet, and The Ice Bowl when he sits down with The Series. Look for Brandon to make waves across the Mid West and the country in 2012.

Garage Games Series: When did you start CrossFit? How has your training changed since the beginning?
Brandon Pastorek: I started CrossFit in 2007, my training has been pretty much the same I work on Olylifting during the off season mixing in CrossFit then I do all CrossFit leading up to the games.
GGS: Where do you train? Do you have any regular training partners?
BP:I now train at my box CrossFit VisOne, usally train with my girlfriend Tosha Jeffries or by myself.

GGS: You have competed in the CrossFit Games for three years now, both individually and with a team. How would you rather compete?
BP: I [would] rather compete individually for a few more years until VisOne builds a team.

GGS: What is your training focused on right now, weightlifting, gymnastics, metcons, zombie killing?
BP: I’m focused on weightlifting right now….. zombie killing is coming closer to Regionals, lol!

GGS: It’s on all of our minds this time of year, how do the holidays effect your training and diet?
BP: I usually treat myself around the holidays and Super Bowl, but I try to still eat clean and get my WODʼs in.

GGS: On the flip side, is competing in The Ice Bowl going to change your plans in the weeks leading up to the event?
BP:No, CrossFit makes me ready for anything! I’m using The Ice Bowl to see where I am in my training and I just love competing and having fun! But I am going to give it all I got right now.

GGS: What supplements do you use, if any?
BP: Only fish oil when I remember and occasionally Progenex

GGS: What is your favorite part of training?
BP:My favorite part of training is Olylifting and rest days.

GGS: Have you competed in local events in the past?
BP:No, not really just Life AS:RX… I never hear about the competitions around our area.

GGS: If you could set any world record, what would it be?
BP: If I could set any world record it would be consuming the most pizza in one
sitting…LOL or making it to the CrossFit Games every year.

GGS: Do you have any sponsors?
BP:No, I do not have any sponsors, maybe one day!
