Bring The Noise Apparel is proud to present the first annual Long Island Takeover! The event will be located at a 10,000 square foot indoor facility and is a 2 day competition designed to bring together the awesome CrossFit community on Long Island and any other athlete who would like the privilege to Grace (get it?!) our beautiful island. All levels of athletes who want to test themselves in one of the most competitive events in the North East are welcome! Keep in mind the Long Island Takeover is not for the weak at heart so be prepared to push yourself harder than you have ever before. What we can guarantee:  1. Your mental limits will be pushed 2. Your strength, endurance, and agility will be tested and 3.  this competition is going to be one hell of a good time!  Take it from us, we highly suggest putting your party hat on while beasting through these wods.

 

This is an Individual only competition with both RX , SCALED and MASTERS 40+ divisions available. Guaranteed $7,000 Prize pool for RX men and women with a FIRST PLACE PRIZE of $2,000!!! Not to mention other amazing gifts from our sponsors.

 

LiT will be programed for all levels of competitors and is spectator friendly. We expect nothing less than each athlete have their own fan club. Personalized posters and athlete chants will also be highly encouraged by the LiT staff. There will also be multiple vendors of all varieties, food and spectator challenges included.

Athletes:
Guaranteed 5 events within the 2 days of compeition and a final for the qualifying athletes – be prepared for ANYTHING!

Please note that all workouts will be done inside on turf.

 

Rx Athletes: The Rx athlete is a serious competitor who has been training hard for a year or more. An athlete in this division should be able to complete workouts if they can deadlift, 315/225 lbs for low volume reps and go from ground to overhead with 155/115 lbs multiple times. This athlete should be ready for anything such as muscle ups, and/or bar muscle ups, chest to bar pull ups, Toes to bar, box jumps, double unders, pistols and handstand push ups. They should also be prepared to learn an unfamiliar task. Advanced and unfamiliar skills are more likely to be seen after the finals cut. These athletes should NOT expect to scale WODs.

Scaled Athletes: The scaled athlete is fit but may have been training hard for less than a year. If this is your first individual competition, this is a good place for you. An athlete in this division should be able to complete workouts as prescribed if they can deadlift 225/135 lbs for reps, go ground to overhead with 95/65 lbs multiple times and be competent in CrossFit’s foundational movements and other basic skills such as push ups, pull ups box jumps and/or step ups and sit ups. They should also be able to jump rope (single unders). Athletes in this division could scale WODs further, HOWEVER they would be scored below other athletes who did not scale these workouts.
Masters Athletes: The Masters athlete is Someone above the age of 40+ This individual must have Foundational movments and other basic skills. “wallballs, cleans, kb swings, push ups ect”Weights for workouts will be the same or very close to scaled weights. Athletes in this Division could scale WODs further HOWEVER they would be scored Below other athlets who did not scale these workouts.
First workout will be released after Thanksgiving, with others to follow. Video standards will be provided.
