DeSoto Crossfit, Southaven, MS - October 21-22, 2017

This is the 6th Annual Crossfitters for Kids to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This event is a 4-person, same gender, adult team competition with divisions for Rx and Scaled athletes. Scaled teams will compete on SATURDAY and Rx teams will compete on SUNDAY. All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude is run off of donations and never ask for a family to pay a bill for treatment. It takes a team of medical staff to care for the sick children. Help be a part of the team and help fight for a cure and support the children of St. Jude.

“260” (Rx Divisions Only)

For Time:

130 Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups w/ 2 teammates in handstand hold

130 Handstand Push-ups w/ 2 teammates in pull-up hang

Time Cap: 6 Minutes

Order: Two athletes will kick up into a handstand hold, while ONE athlete performs chest-to-bar pull-ups. The work can be split however you choose, but the reps will only count if TWO athletes are in a handstand. Upon completion of 130 chest-to-bar pull-ups, the team will begin the handstand push-ups in the same fashion as the chest-to-bar pull-ups and handstand holds.The team will complete 130 reps of handstand push-ups with ONE athlete working at a time while TWO athletes hang from the pull-up bar.

Behind The Numbers: The 260 reps in this workout represent the 260 patients who aretreated each day at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Time Cap: 12 Minutes

Rx Men will use 405 lbs.

Rx Women will use 315 lbs.

Scaled Men will use 315 lbs.

Scaled Women will use 225 lbs.

Order: This workout will be done in pairs of 2. The pairs will remainthe same throughout the workout. Pair 1 will complete the first round of 19,then tag in Pair 2 who will complete the second round of 19. After completionof the second round of 19, Pair 2 will tag in Pair 1 to complete the firstround of 13. This pattern will continue until Pair 2 completes the final roundof 7.

Behind The Numbers: In total, 78 reps will becompleted in this workout. While most of the patients seen at St. Jude aretreated on a continuing outpatient basis, the hospital also has 78 beds forpatients requiring hospitalization during treatment.

Order: The work may be split however you choose. Only one athlete can work at a time, but the reps do NOT have to be split evenly. This workout will be done chipper style, meaning all of the pistols must be completed before moving to the double-unders, and all of the double-unders must be completed before moving to the dumbbell snatches.

Time Cap: 15 Minutes

Rx Men will use 135 lbs.

Rx Women will use 95 lbs.

Scaled Men will use 95 lbs.

Scaled Women will use 65 lbs.

Order: Athlete 1 will complete all 18 reps of the hang power cleansbefore handing the bar off to Athlete 2 who will complete all 19 reps of thefront squats. Athlete 3 will complete 18 shoulder-to-overhead to close outround 1. Athlete 4 will start the next round with 18 hang power cleans, and thesame 1234 will continue until all 4 rounds are completed or time expires.

Behind The Numbers: Each athlete will complete a total of 55 reps, which isrepresentative of the number of years that St. Jude Children’s ResearchHospital has been finding cures and helping children.
