Bare Bones Battle on the Fox is a two-day event held in Chicago’s southwest suburbs along the Fox River. This event will take place indoors and outdoors on our 4 acre property, so be prepared for anything! On Saturday, we will hold our Individual Rx and Scaled Events. Sunday will be Teams and Masters (ages 40+).
Our Battle on the Fox event will challenge your fitness abilities with a variety of workouts and movements designed to target all fitness domains.
BARE BONES BATTLE ON THE FOX –GARAGE GAMES
Thank you for signing up for the Bare Bones Battle on the Fox Garage Games competition!
Bare Bones CrossFit is located at 102 E. Van Emmon St. Downtown Yorville in the Boombah
Performance Center. We are on the corner of Route 47 and Van Emmon.
We will not have any available parking at the box but you are welcome to park anywhere in the
downtown area.
Check in starts at 8:00AM both mornings. If you’d like to get this out of the way sooner, we will
be allowing early check in on Friday night from 5-7PM. When you check in, you will be given
your assigned Heat # and Lane # along with your t-shirt or tank. You will have the same Heat
and Lane # throughout the day.
The weather looks like it may be hot and many of our WOD’s will be outdoors so be sure to bring
plenty of water, gloves for the barbells (in case they get hot) and your own jump ropes if your
workout includes Double Unders.
All final WOD’s may include kayaking or rafting, so you may want to plan your attire accordingly.
(extra shoes, etc…)
We are designating our lower level to all competitors. Once you arrive and check in, we ask that
you take all your belongings down to those areas.
We have a couple rooms you can utilize for warming up and resting as needed. There are two
bathrooms located upstairs and in the lower level we have men’s and women’s locker rooms
with bathrooms.
We have noted approximate time frames, but our goal is to run through each workout quickly
and efficiently so we aren’t running too late through the evening. Please make sure you’re
prompt and ready to go when your heat is called up.
Being that we are located downtown, we have partnered up with Cobblestone Bistro & Bakery to
help us with food and drinks. They are just across the street and they plan to have a Paleo
friendly menu on hand for us. (We hear their bacon donuts are pretty awesome.) There is also
Mongolian 211 and Rowdy’s Bar & Grill. These are all just across the street.
If you are included in the Final WOD’s, you will be required to fill out an additional waiver from
Geneva Kayaking. We will have these ready at our front desk.
