
Welcome to the 3rd annual Garage Games at CrossFit Purgatory! In 2014, CrossFit Purgatory will be donating all proceeds of the Garage Games to HOPE Animal Shelter. We are proud to be partnering with them to help give animals a safe place to find a new home in Tucson’s only NO-KILL animal shelter.
How do you know if you qualify to do the workouts? If you were able to compete in the 2014 CF Open, you can compete here! Workouts will be appropriately scaled for masters.

WOD 1: “Devious Double Unders”
AMRAP 7
10 deadlifts (185/125)
10 unbroken double unders
10 deadlifts (185/125)
20 unbroken double unders
10 deadlifts (185/125)
30 unbroken double unders
10 deadlifts (185/125)
40 unbroken double unders
And so on adding 10 reps each round to the unbroken double unders…
WOD 2: Strenf
Bear Complex Ladder
Women – 8 stations from 75lbs (20lb jump each station for 5 then 10lb jump)
Men – 8 stations from 135lbs (20lb jump each station)
40 seconds to lift, 20 to move to next station
Two lanes running.
Masters 50+
Women – 10lb jump at each station
Men – same
**Standards:
This is one rep:
1. Power Clean – bar starts on floor and ends at shoulders with elbows forward of bar
2. Front Squat – full, below-parallel depth squat with bar
3. Push-Press – Requires full extension of arms (elbows), hips and knees
4. Back Squat – full, below-parallel depth squat with bar
5. Push-Press – Requires full extension of arms (eblows), hips and knees and a controlled descent of bar to floor
WOD 4:
The Chipper
For time (**15 min time cap):
50 lunges (35/53 each hand)
10 burpees
40 wall balls
10 burpees
30 box jumps (20/24)
10 burpees
20 chest to bar pullups
10 burpees
Masters (40+)
For time (**13 min time cap):
50 lunges (35/45 barbell)
10 burpees
40 wall balls (8’ line/9’ line)
10 burpees
30 box jumps or step ups (20/24)
10 burpees
20 pullups
10 burpees
**Standard:
lunges – Knee touches ground on each rep with complete hip opening at top of lunge
burpees – Chest/hips touch floor at bottom, clear sight of air between feet and floor on jump, and must be “upright” at top of jump.
wall balls – Full depth squat at bottom of movement, ball must touch at or above the wall at the required height
box jumps – Both feet jump together, both feet land at top in controlled fashion on box, hips open
