The Garage Games
This year we are blessed to have TWO INCREDBILE Masters Athletes in The Masters Tour at GG1. This battle alone on Friday Night is worth the trip to Suwanee Sports Academy to spectate the event.
Thomas Bourdon and David Hippensteel are both two times CrossFit Games Competitors. In 2014 David landed a 5th place finish while Tom grabbed 12th. These two have done great things in CrossFit and both are in what are essentially, “Stacked” families.
Thomas, has two daughters Allie and Lindsay (prior GG1 champion) who have competed on the CrossFit Adrenaline team, taking third place in the CF Games in 2013. Daughter Lindsay is also a staple on the DC Brawlers in the NPGL (we here at GG are going to go out on a limb and suggest that if Lindsay pursues the CF Games as an individual, we think she will podium). Tom’s wife Vicki is also a solid competitor, knocking on the door to CF Games Competition in her Open experiences.
David, owner of Screaming Eagle CrossFit, also has a fmaily of CrossFit Competitors. His daughter Heather has competed with CrossFit Invictus, and recently his daughter Joelle just recently completed her first competition with The World Wide WOD winning the beginner division.
We look forward to seeing these two athletes bring us some fun and intensity in the 55+ division!
