Did we tell you to bring more than one pair of footwear yet? You should.
So Andy and I (Eric), carried some weights, and other equipment out to the Y today. Seemed like he controlled the clock more often, while I did the WOD, not sure how that happened. But we tested time domain, and I am glad we did. Some things we expected to take 10 mins, took less than half that time… so we doubled them! Yeah, twice the work, which often translates to half the pain as you know so well. So we have some really short time domains, and we have some mid-range (more of these this year), and we have a trail run, though it is a different trail entirely, and a different creek entirely.
We were on that deadly hill some, and we were in a horse arena (sandy), and on the field. All in all, you are going to love it.
I do want to tell you this though, just so that you are appropriately pumped. You will be tested in four WOD’s on Saturday, and two on Sunday. That is for ALL individual competitors, both RX and Scaled. Teams will face 2 and 2 (Friday and Sunday). And if I do say so myself, we have found a ridiculous amount of fun for these teams. Pain, but fun pain.
So a quick recap – bring multiple pairs of shoes, changes of clothes, expect some pretty cool WOD’s, and oh yeah, count on incredible food, and a signficant gap of time to comfortably eat and recover in the middle of the day. Christophe’s Kitchen is preparing food on site, Paleo and non-paleo. Snacks, hot meals, etc. So be prepared for meals between $5-8, with $1-3 snacks.
We’ll post check in times and parking plans shortly!
