If you win an event as a beginner, then you will not get any more points from beginner events that you participate in.
If you win an event as a scaled, then you will not get any more points from scaled events that you participate in.
This is to encourage competitors to move up in divisions, if they are seeking points.

Points
All points add up for total scoring. You can compete in a mix of divisions like RX for ONE and Scaled for Survival of the Fittest and still have the points add up.

A break down for age groups will be available too.

Teams
You will get individual points equal to the place you finished. So if your team finishes 4th, then all of you receive 4th place points and ranking.
You can only use 3 team events to count towards your GGS Score, but you may compete in as many as you like.

Best Events
Your best placings will automatically be used to find your GGS Score. You can do as many events as you like.

Tie Breakers
Who has the best place finish in the harder division using all the events they’ve done that year.
Then, who has the best place finish earlier in that same year.
Then, we’ll do the same process for the year before and so on till a winner is found.

Age divisions will be
Working on allowing you to search on an age range to see how you compare

Event Types
You must compete in 3 majors and 3 minors and 1 online to eligible for the GGS title.
You may substitute a major for a minor, but not the other way around.
Do as many events as you like and replace bad scores with better ones.

We are still working out the details of this poriton. We are doing this because we have found in 2011 that it might have been possible to do all the smaller events and avoid the big names in the big events and come out on top. We dont want this to happen. We want the winner to be the winner, not the best competition picker or competitor dodger.

I am happy to find the scoring info for age divisions!! My son, 11 yr old Clint, completed in Firestarter in Mobile, AL placing 2nd overall for males. Please let me/us know how he can officially participate and accumulate GGS scores. He looks forward to the next games!

He can compete in Beginner or Scaled and accumulate points. If he wins beginner, he needs to move up. We said that for scaled as well, though we are probably changing that. You need to be present at every event for his age, and might need a work around on some registrations, just email us when registering.
