Ryan at Port CrossFit has got huge plans for his event on August 25th and 26th.  He secured a 21,000 sq. foot building to provide an awesome environment, and has worked to secure athletes and sponsorships to make this first GG showing on the Island, a memorable one.

One of the coolest components to this competition, is the JOINT WOD with The Vermonster CrossFit Challenge.  This WOD is going to be one common WOD in both competitions, where the results will be compared across both events, and the top five men and top five women will receive prizes.  So if you want to have a chance to compete in two comps at once, don’t miss this!!

The Vermonster Challenge by Green Mountain CrossFit – Vermont-style CrossFit in our 2 acre outdoor playground. Expect traditional movements as well as some real-world work capacity testing. Workouts will be released 2 weeks prior to the competition but you can expect there to be barbells, gymnastics, kettlebells, tires, heavy objects, sandbags and trail running, among other challenges. The 10 skills of fitness will be on display and prescribed weights will not be prohibitive. All competitors will get a minimum of 4 WODs, a T-shirt and a hell of a lot of fun.
