Mississippi CrossFit, Ridgeland, MS - February 15-16, 2014

STANDARDS CLARIFICATION

Bear Complex: 1 clean, 1 front squat, 1 jerk, 1 back squat,  1 back jerk. The athlete may squat clean thruster and back squat thruster until a pause is required for the load. The athlete must pass through a hip crease below the knee squat and full lockout overhead, showing the ear, locked at the elbow, shoulder, hips, and knee.

Thruster/Rope Climbs: Rx/Masters – athlete must ascend by a method of their choice (legless, with legs, etc.) and descend ON the rope all the way to the floor showing control throughout. No dropping is allowed. Scaled/Masters – athlete must lie flat on their back and pull themselves to standing while both legs remain locked at the knee, then lower themselves down to flat back with the same standard.

T2B/BJ/DL

Sc: Straight leg sit ups – hands must touch the ground above the head and torso must reach vertical at the top of the sit ups with hands touching the feet. Box jumps – athletes may jump or step down. Dead lift – finish position – hips open and shoulders finish behind the bar.

Rx Men will start at 185#,  Rx Women will start at 115# and move up by 10#

Scaled: 115#/75#

*Tie breaker: Deadlifts at missed attempted weight. Athlete must attempt to do the bear complex before starting deadlifts for tie break.

Max Wall Balls

Partner A: Performs wall balls while Partner B: Holds 225/155 (scaled 155/115) at the top of a dead lift. Wall balls can only be performed when the ball is off the ground

Ridgeland, MS – the site of the first Garage Games South Central Series competition!  Competitors from all over South Central as well as the Southeast should be looking to make this their testing grounds!  This two day competition is designed to test and give you an experience like no other.  Individuals will be on Saturday and teams on Sunday.

Movements have been released!  Expect the actual WODs to be released about a week prior to the competition.
