The Event Page is a great place to keep yourself updated.  We are working on final details, and making sure everything goes smoothly at check-in.  We will post another video update in a few days.

Affiliates, if you want to get your logo in the digital media guide, we have time.  Also, we have some great connections we want to make between you and our sponsors, so get signed up at the check-in page, and you will have a chance to win some prizes, as well as get yourself connected with some people who can help optimize your business!  Check it all out here: AFFILIATES

Part 2:

Workshops:  The Leptin – Nutrition Workshop has been changed to 6:45PM in the dining hall.  We have had a decent number say they would like to attend, and would only be able to make it in the evening.

Event Planning – We hope that every one of our event gyms for this year’s series will be here (at least have a representative here) and anyone who would want to host a GG event in the future.  We believe we will have someone coming who would like to meet you… to be confirmed soon.

Check In:  Competitors, Volunteers, Teams you can check in between 12pm and 1pm on Friday in the dining hall.  You will be able to check in from 2pm – 4pm, and 5pm-6pm outside the dining hall (or if inclement weather, in the pavilion – look for signs as you enter the Y, and a map to be posted here).  Teams need to be checked in no later than 4pm.

Food :  Chef Christophe will be preparing for Saturday during the Friday workshop hours, so he will put out some food for lunch.  Come early to OPT’s workshop, get registered and have some grub!

Other:   The movement standard video will be out tomorrow night.  Look for it, this will give you some good clues… or not.

As you might be realizing by now, we have no intentions of telling you what you are doing until… well, until you are doing it! We will post movement standards, so you will know what you are doing for anything that needs judging, but we won’t tell you how many, how much weight, if you are doing it in a creek, etc.

Did we tell you to bring more than one pair of footwear yet? You should.

So Andy and I (Eric), carried some weights, and other equipment out to the Y today. Seemed like he controlled the clock more often, while I did the WOD, not sure how that happened. But we tested time domain, and I am glad we did. Some things we expected to take 10 mins, took less than half that time… so we doubled them! Yeah, twice the work, which often translates to half the pain as you know so well. So we have some really short time domains, and we have some mid-range (more of these this year), and we have a trail run, though it is a different trail entirely, and a different creek entirely.

We were on that deadly hill some, and we were in a horse arena (sandy), and on the field. All in all, you are going to love it.

I do want to tell you this though, just so that you are appropriately pumped. You will be tested in four WOD’s on Saturday, and two on Sunday. That is for ALL individual competitors, both RX and Scaled. Teams will face 2 and 2 (Friday and Sunday). And if I do say so myself, we have found a ridiculous amount of fun for these teams. Pain, but fun pain.

So a quick recap – bring multiple pairs of shoes, changes of clothes, expect some pretty cool WOD’s, and oh yeah, count on incredible food, and a signficant gap of time to comfortably eat and recover in the middle of the day. Christophe’s Kitchen is preparing food on site, Paleo and non-paleo. Snacks, hot meals, etc. So be prepared for meals between $5-8, with $1-3 snacks.

We’ll post check in times and parking plans shortly!

Check out the short clip that helps you know a bit more about the workshops on Friday, hope to see many of you on Friday to get educated, then compete or cheer on the teams as they take the field!
